For companies that register with the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) in accordance with the ITAR, DDTC supplies a letter that includes a recommendation to follow their published Compliance Program Guidelines.    These “guidelines” include recommendations and compliance elements that companies should consider in setting up their compliance program.

Within the guidelines, the State Department makes references to an “Ombudsman” as a person with whom a company should liaison on matters concerning internal monitoring of audits, possible violations, etc.   Reliant Defense can serve as your Ombudsman.   As experienced practitioners, we can help advise  you on any compliance matter that may arise and help make recommendations on corrective actions.
